Algumas coisas que devo explicar sobre "Poe": ele é descrito como uma "Literatura Gótica", suas obras falam de lidam com questões da morte, incluindo sinais físicos dela, os efeitos da decomposição, interesses por tapocrifação, a reanimação dos mortos e o luto. Parte de suas obras são do "romantismo negro". Fora esta literatura horrenda, ele escreveu sátiras, contos de humor e hoaxes.
